Responsible Decision-Making and Leadership

April 19, 2024
Texas State University Round Rock Campus

Program Information

Responsible decision-making and leadership (RDML) are increasingly recognized as important factors that advance corporate citizenship beyond compliance standards. RDML creates value through effective decision-making that ensures multi-stakeholder well-being while delivering sustainable organizational performance.

This workshop is designed for recent alumni of McCoy College graduate programs who are interested in enhancing their understanding of RDML. The program will add to your foundational understanding of RDML and provide practical insights and strategies from both a micro perspective (individual level of analysis) and macro perspective (organizational and system level of analysis). The program will also expand your knowledge of RDML through training sessions led by faculty with hands-on applications, guided Q&A roundtables with a practitioner specializing in RDML, and professional networking opportunities.

Expectations

This program uses a discussions-led approach to learning that will include a micro emphasis in the morning and a macro emphasis in the afternoon. Participants should complete an individual assessment — sent to you after registration — for the speakers to customize the presentation, offering practical takeaways and strategies. Anticipate engaging in collaborative discussions to gain practical business insight and strategies regarding RDML. Food, beverage breaks, and lunch will be provided. Following the classroom experience, a networking reception will be held on campus.

Customized Individual Assessment

A customized individual assessment will be collected in early April to guide in-class discussion.

Networking Reception

This event will conclude with a networking reception for all attendees.

Certificate

Participants will receive a certificate from Texas State Continuing Education.
