Flex MBA Program
Working professionals need flexibility due to the demands of their career, family and other priorities. At the McCoy College of Business, we have developed the master of business administration (MBA) flex program to meet your needs and help you achieve your goals. The 36-hour MBA flex program is customizable, allowing you to attend either full-time or part-time, with the ability to change as your needs evolve. The program also offers optional concentrations that can be pursued to further specialize your skillset.
There are no prerequisites or leveling course requirements, and students are accepted from all undergraduate academic disciplines.
Convenient Times and Locations for Working Professionals
At the McCoy College of Business, we take great pride in meeting the needs of all our students. The master of administration flex program is ideal for non-traditional students and working professionals as it is a “self-paced” program with classes offered at both our San Marcos and Round Rock campuses.
Courses are offered exclusively in the evening, from 6:30 pm to 9:20 pm during the fall and spring semesters to accommodate the hectic schedules of most working professionals. Summer term courses follow similar hours.
Classes meet only one evening a week, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday; no classes are offered on Friday or over the weekend. Most MBA flex program students take two classes in the fall and spring semesters, and one or two classes over the summer.
A Graduate Experience Beyond the Classroom
To develop well-rounded and fully capable students, we have implemented experiential learning components in our master of business administration curriculum. The McCoy College MBA experience strives to go beyond the classroom by offering study abroad experiences alongside internship opportunities that count as course credit towards your degree.
There are also plenty of professional development and networking opportunities in the form of guest lectures, panel discussions and business etiquette trainings that are offered on an ongoing basis.
MBA Emphasis Options
Students accepted into the McCoy Flex MBA program may choose one of the following options. Additionally, within the General MBA tract students have the option to complete a thesis.
