Flex MBA Program

The McCoy Flex Master of Business Administration (Flex MBA)  program is designed for working professionals who need flexibility in scheduling classes due to the demands of a career and family. There are no prerequisite or leveling course requirements and students are accepted from all undergraduate academic disciplines. The Flex MBA enables a customizable schedule; students can attend either full-time or part-time, and that can change at your discretion while in the program. Another way of describing the Flex MBA program is "self-paced." This format works extremely well for working professionals who want to continue working full-time while earning their MBA in the evenings with minimal disruptions to personal and professional commitments. The Flex MBA Program is most commonly a 36-hour program, or an optional concentration can be added making it a 39-hour program.

Convenient Times and Locations
Classes are offered exclusively in the evening, from 6:30pm to 9:20pm in the long (fall and spring) semesters and similar hours in the summer terms, in order to accommodate the schedules of most working professionals. Each class you are enrolled in meets one evening per week. Most Flex MBA students take two classes in the fall and spring semesters, and either one or two classes over the summer. Elective courses are offered at each campus during the summer, while both core and elective courses are offered in the long semesters at both campuses. Classes are offered on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings; there are no Friday or weekend classes.

A Graduate Experience Beyond the Classroom
While there is no denying the importance of a rigorous academic curriculum, the McCoy MBA experience goes beyond the classroom to ensure our graduates have both the hard and the soft skills necessary to excel in today's business environment. McCoy Flex MBA students are given the option to participate in an annual study abroad trip which not only provides meaningful international business experience but also affords six hours of elective credit. Flex MBA students are also given the option to complete an internship for (elective) course credit during the program, and an internship may be performed with the student's current employer. Professional development opportunities in the form of guest lectures, panel discussions, and business etiquette training are offered on an ongoing basis.

MBA Emphasis Options

Students accepted into the McCoy Flex MBA program may choose one of the following options. Additionally, within the General MBA tract students have the option to complete a thesis.
