The student worker position with serve as a receptionist for Dean’s Office in the McCoy College of Business and assist customers at the front desk. 

As a representative of the McCoy College of Business, the student worker must be professional, very reliable, and reflect positively upon the college. Student workers are expected to work when scheduled and be on time for assigned shifts. The student worker must be dependable, responsible, and ready to do what is needed. 

The Dean’s Office is a professional office and enforces a dress code for student workers which consists of a polo shirt and pants without holes or tears. Shorts and hats are not allowed. Students should be well-groomed when reporting to work. 

This position may have the possibility of continuing employment for future semesters based on a number of factors including reliability, performance of job duties, adherence to policies, available budget and work-study renewal. 

What You’ll Do

  • Frequently interact with students, professors, administrative assistants, deans, other University offices and the general public.

  • Responsible for handling multi-line telephone and transferring calls to appropriate individuals or providing information to the caller.

  • Other duties include handling day-to-day tasks for office operation.
  • Running errands around campus
  • Scheduling appointments, copying, mailing, filing, assisting with various office projects, etc.
