Olson and Steinbacher,Co-Owners, Bosstex Venture Corp

Brian Olson and Sabin Steinbacher are the co-owners of Bosstex Venture Corp. which was established in the fall of 2004. Bosstex started with one hair salon in San Marcos in February of 2005 and has since expanded to four salons located in San Marcos, Kyle, Round Rock and San Antonio.

The Bosstex co-owners’ first venture was in high school where they started a small lawn mowing/landscaping service which grew considerably in a very short time and was later sold for a profit.

A month after graduating from college, Sabin and Brain opened and co-founded Classic Cuts in San Marcos, TX. It provided the community with a new and more inviting atmosphere for a walk-in haircut. Within two years of opening its first store, Bosstex was fortunate enough to take part in the new HEB Plus concept which allowed for tenets to be located much closer to the entrance/exit of their stores. With the HEB partnering, Bosstex grew from one store with eleven employees to four stores with nearly fifty employees.

Brian Olson was raised in College Station, TX where his family still resides. He began his college education at Blinn College in Bryan, TX and moved to San Marcos to attend Southwest Texas University in 2001. He graduated with a degree in Business Management in December of 2004. While attending Texas State, he became a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon and participated on the Texas State Water Ski Team.

Brian is active in many organizations in the San Marcos area. He’s been involved in the San Marcos Lions Club and is an active Board Member of Sights and Sounds, which is the largest community event in San Marcos hosting over 80,000 people each year. Brian is also on the Board of the Cattleman’s Ball, which raises funds for cancer research. Since 2001 he has worked as a bartender and public relations coordinator for a local establishment where he raised sales by nearly three hundred percent in his first six months on the job. Brian still bartends and coordinates special events for the bar.

Sabin Steinbacher also grew up in College Station, TX, where he attended Texas A&M University, graduating with a BS in Political Science. While attending A&M, Sabin worked for a maintenance management firm where he learned and performed technology/computer networking skills that he utilizes in his business today. He was a member of Texas A&M’s gymnastics program as well as active in several other intramural and service programs.

In his senior year, Sabin had the opportunity to travel abroad and attend the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain. He has also spent a considerable amount of time in Venezuela and Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. To supplement his income over recent years, Sabin obtained his real estate license and has worked for real estate firms in College Station and, most recently, for Great Locations in San Marcos, TX.
