BOKO Awards Recognize Net Impect
Each year the Boko Awards Ceremony is held to honor those who make a commitment to leadership, service and excellence. Students of the university community are recognized as individuals and as part of an organization for achievement in campus involvement and leadership.
At the 2017 ceremony held on April 13, Net Impact was one of three out of 65 Texas State student organizations to win multiple awards. The McCoy College student chapter was awarded Registered Student Organization of the Year and Program of the Year for 2016-2017.
The Registered Student Organization is chosen based on their commitment to Texas State's value and missions. Any recognitions or awards the organization has received, as well as involvement in any events on-campus and within the San Marcos Community, are taken into consideration. The selected registered student organization will receive $250 from the Student Organizations Council for their continued commitment to Texas State.
The Program of the Year Award is presented to the student organization that has implemented and sustained, for at least two consecutive years, the most outstanding campus program that has benefited and made a lasting impact on the University and/or San Marcos Community.
