Katie Harvey is the Chief Executive Officer of KGBTexas communications, a privately owned Texas based comprehensive integrated communications company.
Harvey founded KGBTexas when she was just 24. She didn’t start with a lot of resources, but she made up for it with the conviction that she could build something great. Today, her agency is comprised of 40 communications professionals in San Antonio and Houston, and boasts a client list that includes some of the most prestigious companies in America. She is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University.
Prior to creating KGBTexas, Harvey managed all national public relations efforts and generated multi-million dollar media campaigns for Kaepa Athletic Shoes. She also served as the director of public relations and marketing for Aztex Foods, Inc., a restaurant franchise headquartered in San Antonio. There she developed and implemented public relations and marketing programs for the southwest region of the United States. Prior to her graduation from Southwest Texas State University (now known as Texas State), Harvey served as executive administrator for NFL Hall of Famer Earl Campbell, where she coordinated all of Mr. Campbell’s endorsements and appearances, established the non-profit arm of Earl Campbell Enterprises and orchestrated all corporate sponsorships of the Earl Campbell Football Camps.
Included in all of Harvey’s professional achievements is that she loves horses – specifically Arabians – owns horses and is a dedicated rider. She competes with her Arabians and has garnered national and regional awards. Harvey’s top priority is her family. She enjoys hunting and golfing with her husband, Jeff, a partner at Jackson Walker, LLC, one of the oldest and largest Texas-based law firms, and spending time with their two sons, Jax and Colt.
