Charles Nash, Jr., owner of Chuck Nash Chevrolet – Buick- GMC, was born March 19, 1951 in Austin, Texas to Charles D. Nash and Dorothy Moore Nash.
Mr. Nash was educated in Austin public schools and graduated Austin High School in 1969; He attended San Angelo State University and St. Edwards University.
Mr. Nash has over 30 years experience in the automotive industry and is a third generation car dealer. He purchased a dealership in San Marcos at the age of 25, becoming one of the youngest people to own a dealership.
As his business has continued to grow, Chuck Nash has continued his contributions to the community through his involvement with non-profit organizations locally and statewide. Mr. Nash has continued to serve the business community by acting as Area Director of the Texas Automobile Dealers Association, and he was instrumental in creating the Texas Rivers Center at Aquarena Springs in San Marcos.
From 1988 to 1993, he served as Commissioner of the Texas Parks and Wildlife. In 2007 The San Marcos Chamber of Commerce Chuck Nash recognized Nash for his contributions not only to the chamber but the community. Mr. Nash is the Chair of the San Marcos Airport Commission, a San Marcos Chamber of Commerce Board member, and a member of the Texas State University TouchdownTeam.
Nash was presented the “2007 Business Person of the Year” award for the council. He was also nominated for the 2009 TIME Magazine Dealer of the Year and was one of a select group of 49 dealers out of 19,500 nationwide selected for recognition by TIME and Goodyear, in cooperation with the National Automobile Dealers Association.
